Earlier this week, Fox announced that its much anticipated sci-fi series "Terra Nova" would not be airing its two-part pilot episode this spring  before pushing the launch of the series back to the fall. But that doesn't mean they're done teasing some dinosaur action.

Fox has debuted two new "Terra Nova" promo videos. The first, "Welcome To Terra Nova" sets up the premise for the series, which involves people from the far future who desperately use time travel to escape the end of humanity by going to prehistoric times when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.

The second promo, "New World" focuses on  the Shannon family, Jim (Jason O'Mara) and Elizabeth (Shelley Conn), who lead  their children Josh (Landon Liboiron), Maddy (Naomi Scott) and Zoe (Alana Mansour).

Steven Lang ("Avatar") co-stars as Nathaniel Taylor, the Commander of the Terra Nova settlement, along with Allison Miller, Mido Hamada and Christine Adams.

From the promotional materials released by Fox, we know that the Shannon family got their chance to come to Terra Nova thanks to Elizabeth's medical training, but they are hiding a secret about their youngest daughter that may imperial their newfound safety and positions. There is also a split between the people living in the past, with Christine Adams' Mira leading a band of renegade forces against Taylor's battle hardened army.

Of course, there are also the man-eating dinosaurs to worry about, including that T-Rex that seems determined to make the fleeing jeep in the promo video into a prehistoric hot pocket.

"Terra Nova" will launch on Fox this fall.
