When we last saw the Doctor (Matt Smith), he raced back into his TARDIS to rescue the kidnapped baby, Melody Pond and he promised her parents, Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill) that Melody would be safe. Moments later, the Doctor's fellow time traveler, River Song (Alex Kingston) revealed to Amy and Rory that she is Melody, their daughter from a later point in her life.
After leaving us on that summer cliffhanger, "Doctor Who" returns to BBC America later this month for the second half of the sixth season. And while an exciting trailer debut at Comic-Con, the BBC has released a new trailer that seems a bit more ominous regarding the Doctor's pending demise at the hands of an Impossible Astronaut.
The BBC has also released a new poster to promote the rest of the sixth season, as well as a synopsis for the first new episode, "Let's Kill Hitler."
In the desperate search for Melody Pond, the TARDIS crash lands in 1930s Berlin, bringing the Doctor face to face with the greatest war criminal in the Universe. And Hitler. The Doctor must teach his adversaries that time travel has responsibilities – and in so doing, learns a harsh lesson in the cruellest warfare of all.

Six new episodes of "Doctor Who" will wrap up the second of half of the sixth season on Saturday, August 27, only on BBC America and BBC One
