Last season on "Game of Thrones," Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the rest of the Night's Watch began their journey north of the Wall to investigate the resurgence of the mysterious White Walkers and to discover the truth about a threat that may imperil the seven kingdoms of Westros.
In the upcoming second season of "Game of Thrones," HBO filmed many of the scenes beyond the Wall in the frigid climate of Iceland in order to maintain the sense of reality that has become one of the show's hallmarks.
And in this newly released production featurette, cast members Kit Harington, James Cosmo, John Bradley, Simon Armstrong, Mark Stanley share their thoughts about shooting in Iceland alongside executive producer, David Benioff, director and co-executive producer, Alan Taylor and Line producer, Chris Newman.
While the story of the Night's Watch will be a pivotal part of "Game of Thrones" Season 2, the conflict soon to be known as the War of Five Kings will expand in Westros, as Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony) and Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) each make their claim for power while battling each other in addition to King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) and the newly crowned King of the North, Robb Stark (Richard Madden).
