Since the fall TV season kicked off a few weeks ago, Global has enjoyed a substantial string of successes, enjoying the highest year-over-year growth of any network and boasting six of the top 10 primetime shows on television, more than any of its competitors.
“It has been an incredible fall launch for Global and as the season progresses, we have only seen this momentum continue to grow,” said Barb Williams, SVP of Content at Shaw Media in a press release. “With more shows in the Top 10 and Top 20, the numbers speak for themselves. It’s clear that our primetime line-up has made its mark on the competitive landscape and with our viewers.”
The top-placing shows include "Big Bang Theory," "Survivor: Phillippines," "Two and a Half Men," "Grey's Anatomy," "Amazing Race," "Glee," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Bones," "Hawaii Five-O," and "Elementary." Global dominates the Top 10 with double the primetime hours versus its closest competitor, and has increased its presence in the Top 10 and/or Top 20 nationally as well as in all the key markets. Global also takes six of the Top 10 for Adults 24-54, five of the Top 10 for Women 25-54, and five of the Top 10 spots for 2+ (National).
Look for fan favourites "Bones" and "Glee" this week as the two hit shows return from four-week hiatuses.
