Fans of “The Walking Dead” may have to wait until 2013 for the series to return to AMC, but the network has already released two preview scenes from the next episode.
The first scene seems to pick up directly after the midseason finale, in which the Governor (David Morrissey) leaves the fate of the Dixon brothers, Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Merle (Michael Rooker) to a vengeful crowd at Woodbury while Andrea (Laurie Holden) attempts to stop it.
For the second preview scene, the action shifts back to the prison where newly arrived Tyreese (Chad Coleman), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Allen (Daniel Thomas May), and Ben (Tyler Chase) prepare to bury Donna (Cherie Dvorak). But Allen sees a golden opportunity to take the prison for themselves while it is lightly defended, leaving Tyreese as the sole voice of reason.
And finally, AMC has put out a longer promo video for the second half of the third season as the cast and creative team tease what’s coming up for Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his fellow survivors now that the Governor has truly become unhinged.
“The Walking Dead” shuffles back to AMC on Sunday, February 10.
