After months of being sidelined, NBC’s “Hannibal” is being fast tracked for an early April debut.
And now that there’s no point in holding back the footage of the series, NBC has released the first teaser trailer for “Hannibal,” in which FBI criminal profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and his superior, Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) approach Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) for his help finding a serial killer.
Unfortunately for Will, he doesn’t realize that the real monster is sitting right in front of him.
The events in “Hannibal” will be a modernized take on Thomas Harris’ novel, “Red Dragon,” which introduced Will and Hannibal to audiences back in 1981. “Hannibal” is being adapted by “Pushing Daisies” creator, Bryan Fuller with David Slade (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) directing the pilot episode.
Caroline Dhavernas, Leslie Bibb, Gillian Anderson and Gina Torres are set to co-star in “Hannibal;” which will premiere on Thursday, April 04 at 10pm on NBC.
