‘Game of Thrones’ Season 2 Deleted Scenes

Littlefinger mocks Varys and Tyrion saves Sansa from the Hound.

Earlier this week, “Game of Thrones” Season 2 was released on DVD and Blu-Ray. And while the first season didn’t come with any deleted scenes, there are apparently seven deleted scenes hidden within the new release as “Dragon Eggs.”

Via Entertainment Weekly, four of the deleted scenes have popped up on Youtube. In the first, we see the theft of Daenerys’ dragons in Qarth, as the treacherous hand maiden Doreah (Roxanne McKee) attacks Irri (Amrita Acharia).

In the second deleted scene, Lord Varys aka The Spider (Conleth Hill) finds himself unable to match the mocking tone of Lord Petyr Baelish aka Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) following Tywin’s arrival and the loss of Tyrion’s status as Hand of the King.

The third deleted scene finds Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann) tormenting Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) before Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) happens upon them. But Sansa isn’t exactly grateful for the save.

And finally, the death of Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony) is mourned by his lover, Loras Tyrell (Finn Jones) and his sister, Margaery (Natalie Dormer); who was also Renly’s wife.

“Game of Thrones” Season 3 will begin on Sunday, March 31 on HBO.
