“Vetting, stalking and killing.” That’s what Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) loves. That’s what he lives for… and maybe it will be the reason that he dies.
Last week, Showtime confirmed that “Dexter” will come to a close with its eighth season; which means that one way or another, Dexter’s story is approaching its endgame. In the previously released preview scene, it was clear that Dexter’s sister, Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) is still distraught over killing María LaGuerta (Lauren Vélez) during the seventh season finale. And she isn’t about to forgive Dexter for what he’s helped her become.
Over the weekend, Showtime released a new teaser trailer for the final season of “Dexter” that furthers the tensions between Dexter and Debra and offers the first glimpse of Charlotte Rampling as Evelyn Vogel, a neuro-psychiatrist specializing in child psychopaths. Perhaps Dexter’s son, Harrison will carry on the family legacy…
Also coming up in the final season are Sean Patrick Flanery as private investigator Jacob Elroy, Nick Gomez as a hitman named Javier Guzman and the return of Yvonne Strahovski.as Dexter’s murderous ex-girlfriend, Hannah McKay.
“Dexter” Season 8 will premiere on Showtime on Sunday, June 30.
