You probably know Gabriel Iglesias from his appearances on Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central specials and most recently from his appearance on the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Gabriel recently recorded a very funny special for Comedy Central called, I'm Not Fat... I'm Fluffy. If you missed it on TV you can now get it on DVD.
For the DVD the self proclaimed “Fluffy" guy brings his style of natural comedy blended with his signature impressions to El Paso Texas. Gabriel talks about everything from his weight (somewhere between “Damn” and “Oh Hell No”) to relationships and family. Longtime fans of the comic will not be disappointed with this show and can also expect to hear many of his signature voices.
One funny bit on the DVD is about Gabriel doing a show for a crowd of law enforcement officers. the funny thing is that it’s true, one look at his website and you can see that among his many show, he’s also booked for an appearance at the Califonia Highway Patrol Private Christmas Party.
The DVD includes 20 minutes of additional footage as well as stand up segments featuring Martin Moreno and Noe Gonzalez (who is really funny). Gabriel regularly does show with Moreno and Gonzalez as well as Alfred Robles and Felipe Esparza, who is hilarious. Also included is a regular part of Gabriel’s stand up, the Q&A segment. Gabriel likes to take the last part of the show and answer questions and let the audience get to know him and it makes for a more personal experience.
Hollywood needs to pay more attention to Gabrie; he has a style that appeals to a mass audience, is a natural on camera and he really knows how to connect with an audience.
